Town Council (February 9)
Meeting with state legislators
Representative Samuel Azzinaro, who backed down from supporting mail-in ballots for disabled voters after being challenged by Councilor LaPietra, saying that it wasn’t his bill — he only reviewed and signed it. Representative Tina Spears, who is pushing for a social media age verification law, and I wish she wouldn’t!
Senator Victoria Gu highlighted the town’s desire for short-term rental regulation (held up due to litigation) and need for coastal resiliency support. She responded to questions about the commuter rail project and HUD intervention in local tenant disputes.

Arguing about which committee/commission/board/secret cabal should evaluate a use for the former Water Wizz property, eventually settling on the Planning Board with the inclusion of the Rec Board.
